Coton de Tulear Page
Coton de Tulear come from the Bichon family. Coton de Tulear dogs have sturdy, little bodies. Coton de Tulear are
not afraid of children and make great family pets. Coton de Tulear puppies are both endearing, charming, and light
hearted. Cotons are highly intelligent, love to play games and love their families. Coton de Tulear can be clownish
and love to twirl and dance. Coton de Tulear and Havanese both have hair, not fur, are non-shedding with little pet
dander, and are odorless. Cotons don't make you or your furniture smell. Neither one has ear-piercing barks that are
sometimes common to little dogs. They are not yappy! Coton de Tulear are non-shedding, hypo-allergenic dogs.
Sometimes, however, you may have some minimal shedding on the Coton de tulear puppy coat until the adult coat
comes in. I therefore, recommend keeping the Coton puppy coat shorter.
Coton de Tulear are known for their light, cotton like coats. The Coton de Tulear dog coats are usually straight or
slightly wavy. Cotons almost look like a miniature sheep dog, peeking at you with their dark beautiful eyes from
under their long bangs. Cotons, specifically, are cheerful and charming. Coton de Tulear are known as the
anti-depressant dog. Coton de Tulear are calm and yet very confident. Cotons pat their paws on the floor and
perform humorous antics. Cotons are like a big dog in a small body. Cotons are hardy, robust, enthusiastic and
celebrate your homecoming after separations. Cotons exude happiness and harmony. Even though they love you to
pieces, Coton de Tulear also have an independent spirit.

Reputable Coton de Tulear breeders generally will not let their new puppies go to their new
homes until at least 8-10 weeks of age due to hypoglycemia problems (low sugar). Coton de
Tulear breeders should always give a "care of the puppy" info sheet to new owners explaining
how to take care of the puppies. They will also be willing to assist you in case anything does
arise. Also due to the large amount of scammers on the internet, you should always ask for at
least 4-5 references and the breeder's veterinarian to check them out to see if they are
legitimate. Ask them to send additional pictures of the specific puppy so you know that they
have the pup in their possession. Be careful and do your homework before choosing the right
Coton de Tulear breeder.
Buy from reputable Coton de Tulear breeders! Coton de Tulear puppies are smart and healthy
when not inbred!l
